Momentum SoccerSupport the Game. Stay Connected. Get on the Field.

Every match at Momentum Soccer depends on skilled, committed referees who understand the game and respect the players. If you’re already certified or curious about becoming a referee, we have opportunities for you to be part of our league seasons.

Become a Certified Referee

If you’re not yet certified but interested in becoming a referee, you can start your training through NMSSA. The certification process will teach you the laws of the game, positioning, game management, and how to handle the real-world challenges of officiating.

It’s a commitment, but it’s also a way to stay deeply involved in soccer while earning money and gaining a unique perspective on the sport.

NMSSA offers training courses throughout the year. Once certified, you’ll be eligible to officiate with Momentum Soccer and other leagues across New Mexico.

What’s Required

To officiate in our league, referees must meet these standards:

USSF Certification โ€“ You must hold a current referee certification and be in good standing with the United States Soccer Federation.

NMSSA Protocol Compliance โ€“ All officials are expected to follow NMSSA guidelines and maintain professionalism on and off the field.

Experience Preferred, Not Required โ€“ We value officials with a track record, but we also welcome newly certified referees who are eager to learn and improve.

We believe in supporting our referees. That means clear communication, fair scheduling, and respect for the work you do to make our league possible.
